Acton Academy West Austin, founded in 2015, is a student-led, self-paced, private accredited school. The school uses online adaptive software for math and language, real-world project-based learning, Socratic discussion groups, and examination of the Hero’s Journey and how it applies personally to each student. The Acton model is designed to prepare learners for the quickly changing world.
The middle school and high school programs will guide learners to take the next step into building their real-world experience by completing apprenticeships, forming strong mentor relationships, and completing the Next Great Adventure curriculum. These tools will guide them to find their calling, and to write their own Hero’s Journey story, whether that’s going to a top college or creating the next great start-up.

After receiving your formal entry, your family may be invited for a collaborative interview. This is an invitation for us to meet your family or a video call depending on circumstances. It's an opportunity to be sure we can serve your family well.
Admissions Decision
We will convey the decision on admissions within a week after the collaborative interview. Admissions to Acton Academy West will be confirmed upon receipt of the registration fee and signed enrollment documents.
Tuition
Tuition is $1300 per month for 11 months.
Acton Academy West follows an 11-month trimester calendar that allows for our students to have extended breaks throughout the year and maintains their interests and retention by shortening the summer break.
